Lessons from the Shahadat of Imam Ali (as) 

During the holiest nights of Ramadan, Imam Ali (as) was struck while praying.  

His Shahadat reminds us that the greatest servants of Allah (swt) often carry the heaviest burdens – and that justice comes at a cost. 

A leader who chose others 

Imam Ali (as) ruled with authority but lived with restraint.  

He refused privilege while others suffered. He believed leadership meant service, and service meant ensuring no one went hungry. 

Allah (swt) tells us: 

“O you who believe, stand firmly for justice.” 

Surah Nisa, Verse 135

Justice begins with care 

Imam Ali (as) knew that injustice grows when basic needs are ignored.  

Hunger creates desperation. Desperation creates instability. Food aid is not optional kindness – it is justice in action. 

This Ramadan, feeding a family is choosing peace over chaos. 

Remembering through responsibility 

Mourning Imam Ali (as) is not passive. It demands action.  

When we feed the hungry and protect the vulnerable, we continue his mission – turning tragedy into transformation.
