AFGHANISTAN BLAST
Sadly, the blessed month of Rabbi Ul Awwal has started with a deadly bomb blast targeting school children in Kabul, Afghanistan.
An education centre in a Shia province in Afghanistan, Dasht-I-Barchi, has been attacked by a suicide bomber targeting children sitting their exams, killing at least 23 and injuring a further 27 children.
The Zahra Trust’s local team is on the ground conducting a rapid needs assessment to ensure victims and their families receive urgent aid and assistance.
The people of Afghanistan, particularly the Hazara Shia minority in areas like Dasht-I-Barshi, have been subject to these targeted attacks on schools, hospitals and places of worship for years and continue to suffer the fear of-and actual-violence
We need your support to provide relief to the victims of this tragic attack.
