Following the world’s largest refugee crisis in 2014, 5.6 million refugees fled Syria, making Syria the world’s largest displacement crisis.
ِestruction have contributed to the unfortunate fact that at least 6.5 million Syrians are currently facing hunger and need food aid. Living in hunger, many children are unable to do well in school. Without a stable food source, many children feel they cannot focus on their education and accordingly either are withdrawn from school or do not progress well.
Furthermore, it is estimated that 40% of schools in Syria have been damaged or destroyed or no longer in service as a result of the years of conflict. With millions of Syrian children in need of aid, we are at risk of losing an entire generation.
The Zahra Foundation is working to provide support for all those Syrian Refugees affected by this crisis by providing immediate relief through food aid and educational programs. Millions of Syrian Refugees need our support.
